Excelsior Software, a fast growing technology Company for large and enterprise class customers and the leader in educational assessment management software, is currently seeking FT Software Support Specialists to support our growing customer base.
- Provide client support and technical issue resolution via E-Mail, phone and other electronic medium.
- Installation and Configuration of software.
- Obtain general understanding of OS and application operations related to company offered services.
- Identify and correct or advise, on operational issues of the software.
- Prioritize Help Desk tickets properly and communicate updates to users and the support team as appropriate.
- Use good judgement to determine problems that may need escalation.
- Close tickets in a timely manner with accurate descriptions of resolution and time spent.
- Build strong working relationships with users to set service level expectations and align support with business requirements.
The Ideal candidate will also possess the following skills:
- Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Able to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and other electronic communications.
- Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
- Experience with hardware and software issues.
- Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTP clients and Web Browsers.
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
These positions provide first level telephone, e-mail, and remote access technical support for Excelsior Software products.
Applicants must possess an understanding of hardware and software support, in-depth understanding of LAN administration, configuration and resolution of network operating problems. Must be able to research and resolve non-documented hardware, software, and LAN problems. Candidates must have demonstrated knowledge and experience with Windows 2000, 2003 server, workstation operating systems and Microsoft SQL. Macintosh knowledge helpful, but not required.
